General help using R

  • The basic help files and vignettes that come with R!
  • The Manuals section at http://www.r-project.org/ This is the official site. Don't forget the Contributed Documentation, which is often useful, if application specific.
  • Stack Overflow has become one of the de facto Q&A sites for (R) related things. One of my first stops.
  • The Cookbook for R is incredibly clear and easy to use. If you can find the thing you want to do here, you are in luck!
  • StatsRus (aka Rtips), which is a useful collection of tips and examples for working with (R). Recently revived (note the dates on each section)
